Villa Rental

Ground floor self-contained apartment of our newly built villa for rental.  

Please note we have a small working private boarding kennels on our land, which is securely fenced off from the villa.  We live upstairs and have 4 dogs (all very well socialised, and they are kept in a separate area of the garden during the day and sleep upstairs in our lounge).  We also have 3 cats and they tend to go out all night and sleep all day indoors.

There is a shared entrance door to the villa, with a private door on the ground floor leading to a spacious lounge with dining area and small open plan modern fitted kitchen with integrated washing machine and fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a 2-ring halogen hob and all crockery etc. The lounge has French doors onto a terrace and overlooks the pool and patio area. There is a new sofa bed in the lounge and the floor is tiled. There is a large air conditioner unit and a tv with dvd player.

The double bedroom has laminate flooring and has a double bed with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. There is an air conditioning unit and French doors to a terrace overlooking the pool.

The twin room has twin beds and ample storage wardrobe and drawers and has a large window (all windows and doors are fitted with fly screens). The bathroom is large and modern and is fully tiled. It has a bath with shower over and wc and sink with vanity unit and mirror.

The whole villa has central heating with radiators for the colder winter months and this is supplied from our eco friendly biomass wood pellet burner. The villa also has solar panels for all the hot water with a backup electric boiler.

The pool is large at 10m by 5m and 1.5 deep. It has steps leading in and also pool ladders. The patio is 110m2 with sun loungers, a pergola with seating and a barbecue area. The surrounding coutryside is calm and peaceful with lovely valley views to the hills and forest. Every day the shepherds pass with their goats and sheep and donkeys and carts trundle past with their loads. Geese frequently wander freely along the village road.

There is a small shop and several small bars plus a post office in the village. There is also a very good bus service to Varna (38km and approx 40 min to the centre of Varna). Present prices are 2 lev each way. Although ideally to appreciate the surroundings fully, it is highly recommended to hire a car.

The nearest town is Provadia at 5km distance and there is a train station there with trains to Varna, Shumen, Veliko Tarnovo and Ruse or to Sofia. Provadia town is surrounded by spectacular cliffs with a large fortress overlooking the town. There are many eco trails with rock monasteries to visit and some lovely mountain bike trails for bike enthusiasts. For stunning views to the Stara Planinia mountain ranges, head up to the villages only 5km above Provadia (beyond the Ovech Fortress), such as Dobina and Manastir. There is also one of the largest reservoirs in Bulgaria at Tsonevo near Dulopol (only 20km from Provadia) and the reservoir is set amongst breathtaking scenery with forest and mountains. It is very popular for fishing and there are cat fish up to 2m length in the lake. It ends near Aspuruhovo, a pretty village by the shore of the lake and there are a few nice hotels and restaurants there. In Provadia there is a museum, theatre, lots of outdoor cafes surrounded by trees and set in pedestrian areas. There are many interesting shops, banks, supermarkets and several restaurants; including a traditional Bulgarian Mehana with large open fire in winter and outdoor seating looking up to the fortress for the summer months.

Shumen is only 40km distance and it has a lovely pedestrian bouleveard with lots of street stalls, very inexpensive and designer shops with great bargains to be had, plus many street cafes as well as Chinese, Italian and many Bulgarian resturants. There is a lovely monument overlooking Shumen with steps to climb up and views over the surrounding countryside. There is a new bowling alley and snooker hall in Shumen plus several inexpensive hotels to choose from.
